Are you aware of the meaning behind the name "Juno"? This name represents qualities such as confidence, protection, and heroism. It is my pleasure to introduce you to our Juno. She is a delightful two-year-old dog, exuding love and affection. Although the name Juno suggests assurance, she may initially exhibit some shyness when meeting new individuals. However, with a few treats, she will quickly become a devoted companion. Once she feels comfortable, Juno shows her affection by often curling up in your lap. She loves being close to her family, relishing moments of cuddling and enjoying belly rubs. If you pause in your petting or tickling, she will gently nudge your hand with her head and look at you with her captivating eyes, encouraging you to continue. Additionally, she has a playful tendency to tap your arm with her paw to capture your attention. How could anyone resist such charm?
Juno currently lives with three other dogs, and it is beneficial for her to be surrounded by confident canine companions to help her navigate her surroundings. She enjoys playing with them and often snuggles up next to them for a nap. Hands down her preferred way to play is romping with and chasing another dog; and of course being chased herself.
Juno walks well on a leash without pulling, viewing her walks as opportunities to explore the scents left by other animals. During her outings, she attentively observes her environment and the people she meets, leaving us curious about her thoughts as she takes it all in. When we prepare for a walk, she performs an adorable little hop at the door and again at the back gate. However, she quickly realizes that she should keep her feet on the ground and does not push against the door or gate, resulting in a charming little bunny hop.
Juno also enjoys car rides. She eagerly jumps into the car with her tail wagging, excited to discover where her next adventure will take her. Juno is also highly motivated by food; when it is time for her meal, she runs in circles before sitting patiently, her tail wagging in anticipation.
She loves to sleep beside her foster mother, appreciating the warmth of companionship. Highly motivated by food, Juno finds training and redirecting her focus to be quite manageable. She is intelligent and learns quickly. If you are interested in offering a loving home to Juno, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and email Lani at Lanihtar@gmail.com.
